Science Graduate Learning Mentor

About the role
This temporary full‑time position supports secondary‑school pupils in South Leeds with their science learning. It is ideal for a recent graduate who wants hands‑on experience in a school environment before further study.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group science support to pupils.
- Assist in‑class learning and cover lessons when required.
- Help pupils overcome barriers to learning across science subjects.
- Collaborate with school staff and Aspire People for guidance and support.
Required profile
- 2:1 (or above) degree in a science‑related discipline.
- Enthusiastic, confident and passionate about learning.
- Experience tutoring or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
What we offer
- Long‑term, term‑time placement (Monday‑Friday school hours).
- Daily rate of £120‑£140.
- DBS check and safeguarding training provided.
- Support from the school and Aspire People throughout the placement.
