Science Technician – Secondary School (Ealing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Science Technician to join a supportive secondary school in Ealing. The role starts full‑time in September 2026 and involves providing technical support to ensure practical science lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise equipment and materials for biology, chemistry and physics lessons.
• Support practical demonstrations and classroom experiments.
• Maintain, store and safely manage laboratory equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and order resources as needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
• Keep the laboratory clean, safe and well‑organised.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a science laboratory or educational setting (desirable).
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
