Secondary School Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Stockport

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to support secondary‑school students with special educational needs (SEN) across mainstream and specialist settings in the Manchester area. You will work closely with classroom teachers and SEN professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support for students with SEN.
- Assist in delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support teachers with behaviour management and student engagement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with SEN specialists such as speech therapists and educational psychologists.
- Track and report on student progress and development.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting.
- Optional experience in a healthcare or care‑worker environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach.
