Secondary Sensory Class Teacher – Chiswick

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Secondary Sensory Class Teacher to join our specialist school in Chiswick, West London. You will deliver a highly personalised sensory curriculum that supports pupils with complex learning needs to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, sensory‑focused lessons for secondary pupils.
• Create stimulating learning experiences that promote communication, confidence and engagement.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress against individual learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with therapists, teaching assistants and families to support each pupil.
• Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching a sensory curriculum.
• Experience working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, including autism and complex learning needs.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
