Secondary Supply Teacher – Sunderland

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers to cover a variety of secondary schools in Sunderland from September 2026. This temporary position offers the chance to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3‑5 within your subject specialism while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements for Key Stages 3‑5.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure continuity of learning.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different school environments, including academies and maintained schools.
• Provide a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere for all students.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two recent professional references.
