Secondary Teacher – Flexible Supply & Long-Term Opportunities

About the role
Vida Education is seeking qualified secondary teachers to provide high‑quality teaching across a range of schools in Penrith and the surrounding Cumbria area. The role offers flexible, day‑to‑day assignments as well as short‑term and long‑term placements, with the potential to move into permanent positions.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in your specialist subject(s) to secondary‑age students.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with school staff to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (QTLS).
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools or a strong commitment to return to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and registration on the Update Service.
- Passion for supporting young people’s learning and development.
