Security Operations Manager – Southern UK

About the role

We are looking for a Security Operations Manager to lead our security services across the Southern Region of the UK. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality security operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of regional security teams, handling employee engagement and relations in line with company policies.
• Mobilise new security contracts, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Provide coverage for sickness, holidays and emergency situations, maintaining service continuity.
• Manage a growing portfolio of client sites, upholding service standards and conducting site visits, incident reports and welfare checks.
• Compile and review Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments for new and existing sites.
• Conduct performance reviews, recruit, interview, train and coach staff.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Promote and enforce Health and Safety legislation, complete site key audits and resolve issues promptly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision).
• Proven people‑management experience.
• Strong operational experience within security services.
• Ability to work flexibly to cover sickness, holidays and ad‑hoc emergencies.
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory compliance.
