SEN 1:1 Early Years Educator – Flexible Supply Roles

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for compassionate SEN 1:1 Early Years Educators to support children with special educational needs in a variety of nurseries across Bristol. The role offers flexible supply assignments ranging from ad‑hoc shifts to long‑term placements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support for children with SEND, following their EHCPs.
• Implement personalised strategies and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with nursery staff, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with the team.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Knowledge of autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH and related conditions.
• Excellent communication, caring, patient and resilient attitude.

• Hourly rate of £15‑£17 depending on experience.
• Flexible working hours – full days, AM or PM shifts.
