SEN Teacher and Teaching Assistant (Supply & Permanent)

About the role
Mana Education is recruiting qualified SEN Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of special schools, alternative provisions and mainstream schools with specialist SEN units in the Stamford area. The role can be taken on as daily supply, short‑term, long‑term or permanent placement, offering flexibility for educators at any stage of their career.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior staff, therapists and parents to develop individual education plans.
- Manage behaviour using positive strategies and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community by supporting inclusion initiatives and sharing best practice.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK experience in SEN settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, MLD, SLCN, ADHD or complex sensory needs.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for making a positive impact on young people with additional needs.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to adapt teaching resources for diverse learning profiles.
- Experience using assistive technology and individualized learning tools.
