SEN Teacher – Maths & English (Full‑time, Eltham)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver GCSE Maths and English to students aged 11‑16 in a vibrant special‑needs school in Eltham, London. The position is full‑time, permanent and starts in September, offering the chance to make a real impact on pupils with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE Maths and English lessons.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of SEN and SEMH students.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing targeted feedback.
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to develop inclusive strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual education plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching GCSE Maths and English.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students who have SEMH needs.
• Strong work ethic and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the GCSE curriculum for Maths and English.
• Understanding of SEMH challenges and appropriate classroom interventions.
