SEN Teacher – Special Educational Needs (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking passionate SEN Teachers to join specialised schools in Sittingbourne and surrounding areas. You will deliver tailored, inclusive education for primary‑aged pupils with autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual SEN pupils' needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans.
• Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
• Uphold safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching primary‑aged children with SEN, especially ASD, SEMH, or complex needs.
• Strong knowledge of appropriate strategies and interventions for SEN pupils.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced Child‑only DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
