SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Autism & SEN Students

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in North West London. The role involves working closely with children who have autism, moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and specific learning difficulties (SLD). This is a full‑time, long‑term position with an immediate start.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support to SEN pupils within the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
- Implement individual education plans and monitor progress.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents and external specialists.
Required profile
- Recent experience working in a school setting with SEN students.
- Understanding of autism, MLD and SLD needs.
- Friendly, patient and able to build rapport with children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare standards.
Required skills
- Experience supporting autistic learners.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to follow and contribute to individual education plans.
