SEND 1.1 Teaching Assistant – Barnet, Edgware

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND 1.1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a primary school in Barnet, Edgware. You will work closely with teachers to help children access the curriculum and thrive in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils to enable curriculum access.
• Assist teachers with differentiated activities and interventions.
• Help create an inclusive classroom where all pupils can succeed.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEND programme.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or educational setting.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred.

Required skills

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
