Senior Accountant

About the role

S.F.E. Group is seeking a fully qualified Senior Accountant to lead the finance function of its UK subsidiary. This senior leadership position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on financial governance, supporting commercial decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all UK finance operations, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with company policies.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and deliver accurate management reporting to UK and Group leadership.
• Prepare monthly and annual reporting packages in line with Group requirements, IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Manage statutory accounts, external audits and relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive the annual budgeting and strategic planning process, providing variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Build effective relationships with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, Group Finance and external partners.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in financial control, statutory reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting and cash management.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and partner with business functions.
• Strong understanding of UK Companies Act, corporate governance and IFRS/UK GAAP standards.
