Senior Assistant Accountant – Real Estate

About the role

This senior assistant accountant position supports a fast‑growing real‑estate firm based in central London. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will help maintain accurate financial records and contribute to month‑end reporting for a high‑profile portfolio of super‑prime properties.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Prepare management accounts for at least one entity.
• Prepare and post month‑end journals, assist with trial balances and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Provide ad‑hoc finance support to the Finance Director as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in the core accounting responsibilities listed above, preferably with global exposure.
• Currently studying towards an ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Confident communicator and effective team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting principles and ledger management.
• Experience with bank and credit‑card reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of month‑end journal preparation and trial balance compilation.
