Senior Buyer – UK & Europe

About the role

Humanoid is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support operational procurement across the UK and Europe. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and cross‑functional teams in London, Boston and Vancouver, you will ensure continuity of supply, cost performance and operational excellence for a range of direct‑material commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify cost‑saving opportunities, price trends and supply risks.
• Support sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, negotiations and contract execution.
• Drive cost, lead‑time and efficiency improvements using measurable KPIs.
• Capture business requirements and translate them into clear commercial packages.
• Negotiate commercial terms such as pricing, payment terms, lead times and contract conditions.
• Perform price analysis and cost‑breakdown validation to ensure fair pricing.
• Process requisitions and purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
• Maintain accurate PO and supplier data in SAP and related systems.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and manage escalation processes.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation and tools.
• Run MRP (SAP) to guarantee timely availability of direct goods and services.
• Implement Supplier Relationship Management techniques and tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of direct procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aerospace/defence or automotive.
• Proven experience in scaling direct procurement functions.
• Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or a related field.
• CIPS (MCIPS) Level 5 or equivalent; APICS CPIM desirable.
