Senior Claims Adjuster – Casualty

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster – Casualty to join a leading Lloyd's market insurer. You will own complex, high‑value claims from first notification through to settlement, delivering technically robust handling and exceptional customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the General Liability, Product Liability and Medical Professional Liability portfolio.
• Adjust claims from notification to settlement, applying policy wording, coverage and exclusions.
• Analyse liability and quantum across multi‑jurisdictional, technically challenging matters.
• Maintain accurate claim files in line with internal and regulatory standards.
• Act as subject‑matter expert, providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, panel lawyers and external experts.
• Escalate complex or high‑value matters to senior stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling complex casualty claims, preferably within the London market.
• Strong ability to manage a varied caseload, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• In‑depth knowledge of policy coverage, wording and liability assessment.
• Understanding of legal and regulatory considerations affecting claims.
• Demonstrated experience managing external counsel and specialist experts.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
