Senior Clinical Director - Neurology Franchise

About the role

Roche's Clinical Development team is looking for a Senior Clinical Director to join its neurology franchise and support late-stage clinical studies. The role plays a key part in advancing the clinical development of Trontinemab, the first anti-amyloid antibody in trials to use brain-shuttle technology to treat Alzheimer's disease. The primary posting location is Welwyn.

Key responsibilities

• Play a key role in the clinical development strategy for one or more late-stage (Phase II-III) trials in Alzheimer's disease
• Drive clinical trial design and execution, ensuring scientific rigor, ethical integrity and regulatory alignment
• Provide medical monitoring for ongoing studies and ensure patient safety and data quality
• Collaborate with regulatory, clinical operations, safety, biomarkers, biostats and early research teams
• Mentor and manage Clinical Scientists within the team
• Engage with external stakeholders such as advisory boards, key investigators and health authorities
• Contribute to scientific publications and lead Roche's presence in neurology at key conferences and community events
• Give clinical input to earlier-stage programs to strengthen the neuroscience pipeline

Required profile

• MD or MD/PhD, with clinical training in neurology or dementia, preferably with deep expertise in Alzheimer's disease
• Solid clinical development experience, including leadership in trial design and execution (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry)
• Proven track record of scientific impact through publications, presentations or advisory contributions
• Line management experience
