About the role
The NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead its cancer care pharmacy service. Based at University Hospital Crosshouse, the role supports both inpatient and outpatient oncology and haematology patients across the region, working within multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe delivery of systemic anti‑cancer therapies.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, manage and evaluate a specialised clinical oncology pharmacy service.
- Provide expert medication advice to the oncology and haematology MDTs at local and regional levels.
- Participate in the prescribing of systemic anti‑cancer therapies as a Non‑Medical Prescriber.
- Contribute to clinical governance, national specialist groups and research initiatives.
- Support weekend, public‑holiday and extended‑hour coverage as required.
Required profile
- Registered pharmacist with extensive experience in oncology pharmacy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within MDTs.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and research involvement.
Required skills
- Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification.
