Senior Controls Assurance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Controls Assurance Manager to join a leading consultancy in London. The role involves delivering complex assignments, shaping the controls assurance practice, and supporting business development for a portfolio of FTSE‑listed clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑complexity assignments, including SOX testing and the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Collaborate with senior partners on strategy, marketing, and new‑business proposals.
• Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines, ensuring delivery to partner review.
• Coach and review the work of junior staff, maintaining compliance with firm policies and risk procedures.
• Drive departmental initiatives, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, MIIA, CCAB or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a senior controls or assurance role, preferably within a consultancy.
• Strong understanding of SOX and UK internal‑controls frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to write proposals, pitch to new clients, and manage stakeholder relationships.
