Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and improve both cloud‑based and on‑premises infrastructure for a technology and telecoms client in Chelmsford. You will ensure systems run smoothly, securely and at scale while collaborating with development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud‑based and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows.
• Implement and maintain security protocols across systems.
• Optimise performance for scalability and reliability.
• Document processes and provide training for team members.
• Research and implement new tools and technologies to enhance systems.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure systems.
• Experience with Azure.
• Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages.
• Ability to manage system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Understanding of security protocols and best practices.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from £80,000 to £95,000 per year.
• Permanent contract based in Chelmsford.
• Occasional travel to Glasgow.
