Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a leading global specialty insurance business in London. In this highly commercial position you will act as a trusted advisor to senior underwriting and operational leaders, providing strategic financial insight that drives growth and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior business leaders to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Deliver commercial insight into underwriting performance, profitability and business growth.
• Develop financial models, business cases and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership and board‑level stakeholders.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, improving reporting, data quality and business insight.
• Maintain strong financial governance, controls and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop the finance business‑partnering capability where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Significant post‑qualified experience in a commercial finance or business‑partnering role within the insurance or financial services sector.
