Senior Finance Manager – Luxury Retail (Fast Scaling)

About the role

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced finance professional to become the first dedicated finance hire in a fast‑scaling luxury retail business. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will build the finance function from scratch, creating robust processes, controls and reporting infrastructure to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board‑level reports with detailed variance analysis.
• Own the month‑end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Produce P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow statements and develop KPI dashboards.
• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping and oversee payroll and VAT returns.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting cycles and build financial models for scenario analysis.
• Partner with non‑finance stakeholders to support performance decisions.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Deliver ad‑hoc analysis for commercial and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experience in SME or high‑growth environments, preferably retail, manufacturing, hospitality or leisure.
• Proven ability to set up and improve finance processes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
• Comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑changing business.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
