Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant will support the Director of Finance for Europe & Asia, delivering tax, compliance and management accounting services across multiple international offices. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment within a leading global law firm, gaining exposure to complex cross‑border tax matters and high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Analyse financial data to assess tax implications and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Prepare VAT calculations and supporting documentation for European offices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate tax‑related information.
• Support tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Monitor legislative changes and evaluate business impact.
• Assist with tax projects, continuous‑improvement initiatives and Pillar 2 reporting.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
• Prepare tax return materials for multiple jurisdictions and contribute to ad‑hoc projects such as new office openings.
• Provide management reporting and financial analysis as required.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Professional accountancy qualification preferred.
