Senior Game Analyst

About the role

Tencent Games, founded in 2003, is a global platform for game development, operations and publishing, with over 140 games and more than 800 million users. The hiring team is the Game Research Center (GRC), which studies the game industry, conducts game analysis and data analysis, and supports game development. It is looking for a Senior Game Analyst to track market trends and support investment decisions on overseas game projects.

Key responsibilities

• Track game market trends across Europe and the wider Western market, producing regular reports on genre trends, the competitive landscape and industry developments
• Support investment evaluation of overseas game projects by carrying out market-level competitive analysis and commercial viability assessments of target titles and studios
• Monitor and analyse key game products continuously, delivering structured product observations and market insights
• Take part in industry events and trade shows, turning on-the-ground findings into comprehensive event and market reports
• Help build and maintain market intelligence assets, keeping data accumulated and updated systematically

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience; a background in finance, consulting, market research or investment analysis is preferred
• Prior experience in the games industry, especially in AI, UGC or shooter games, is a plus
• Strong structured thinking and report writing skills, able to turn data into actionable business insights
• Genuine passion for games with extensive play experience, able to judge product quality and market reception independently
• English as the primary working language; Chinese is a plus
