Senior Health Improvement Officer

About the role

The Diabetes & Adult Weight Management Programme Co‑ordinator will lead and co‑ordinate multi‑tiered Diabetes and Adult Weight Management services across Lanarkshire, supporting evidence‑based approaches aligned with NHS Lanarkshire frameworks and national public health priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and co‑ordinate delivery of multi‑tiered Diabetes (DSD) and Adult Weight Management services across Lanarkshire.
• Support implementation of evidence‑based approaches aligned to NHS Lanarkshire AWM & Type II Diabetes Framework, NICE NG246 and national public health priorities.
• Provide health improvement advice and professional support to NHS staff and partner agencies.
• Analyse and interpret locality population health data to recommend programme developments.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent knowledge in health improvement, health promotion or public health.
• Knowledge of public health competencies and registration (UKPHR Practitioner) or working towards it.
