Senior Housing and Homelessness Advisor

About the role

The Senior Housing and Homelessness Advisor leads the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred housing support for members of the Armed Forces community at risk of homelessness. Based at the Pearce Institute, the role combines leadership, operational oversight and direct casework to prevent homelessness and sustain safe housing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional oversight of housing advice, casework and tenancy sustainment.
• Support triage, allocate and monitor caseloads, and guide staff on complex, high‑risk cases.
• Ensure fair and transparent use of rent deposit, first‑month rent and emergency accommodation funding.
• Lead quality assurance, escalation, problem‑solving and service development activities.
• Oversee data quality, reporting and service planning to meet tenancy sustainment outcomes.
• Conduct citywide outreach, home visits and respond flexibly to urgent needs.
