Senior IBA Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IBA Accountant to join a rapidly growing, internationally recognised reinsurance business in London. You will manage day‑to‑day IBA and client‑money activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong operational control across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Own IBA processes including cash allocation, insurer settlements and client‑money management.
• Perform and review reconciliations across client‑money and insurer accounts.
• Support and contribute to Client Money Calculations in line with FCA CASS 5 requirements.
• Manage aged balances and resolve unallocated cash issues.
• Liaise with brokers, underwriters and internal finance teams in the UK and overseas.
• Support audits and maintain robust financial controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements within IBA operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IBA or insurance accounting role.
• Background in an insurance broker, MGA or reinsurance environment.
• Confidence managing reconciliations, settlements and stakeholder queries.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international setting.
