Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a well‑established engineering consultancy’s Development Infrastructure team in Basingstoke. The role offers greater responsibility, a variety of residential development projects, and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of residential infrastructure projects from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate closely with clients to define requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Deliver high‑quality highways and drainage designs adhering to UK standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and documentation.
• Support and mentor junior engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in UK infrastructure design, particularly residential development schemes.
• Strong knowledge of highways and drainage design, including S104, S38 and S278 agreements.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for project outcomes.

Required skills

• Civil 3D or Site3D (or equivalent design software).
• MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Flow or comparable drainage modelling tools.
• SuDS design and familiarity with UK design standards such as the Manual for Streets and DMRB.
