Senior Lecturer / Reader in Public Health

About the role

The School of Life Course & Population Sciences at King’s College London seeks a Senior Lecturer or Reader to lead research and teaching in public health and rehabilitation science. This full‑time, permanent position will shape the university’s public health agenda and support the MSc Public Health (Online) programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an internationally recognised research programme on rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and population health.
• Secure competitive external funding and manage collaborative grant projects.
• Supervise postgraduate students and mentor early‑career researchers.
• Integrate research findings into MSc Public Health (Online) lectures, seminars and digital learning resources.
• Contribute to policy‑relevant research across King’s Population Health Institute and King’s Health Partners.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health, rehabilitation science, physiotherapy, health services research, implementation science, epidemiology, behavioural science, clinical sciences or a closely related discipline.
• Professional registration as a Public Health professional.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications and an independent research agenda aligned with public health priorities.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining competitive research funding.
