Senior Logistics Manager / Head of Logistics

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing consumer‑goods business to find a Senior Logistics Manager who will lead the logistics function across multiple warehouse sites. The role is pivotal in managing third‑party logistics (3PL) relationships, driving performance improvements and ensuring cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the business and 3PL providers, overseeing service levels and contract performance.
• Analyse logistics data and 3PL KPIs to identify cost‑saving opportunities and operational enhancements.
• Monitor capacity planning, storage utilisation and resource requirements across sites.
• Validate 3PL invoicing and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Support system developments to maintain high inventory accuracy at all 3PL locations.
• Audit 3PL SOPs for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Provide weekly performance visibility to internal stakeholders and flag risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 3PL contracts in both B2B and D2C channels.
• Background in logistics or warehousing, with exposure to both 3PL and in‑house operations.
• Strong understanding of performance management, capacity planning and cost control.
• Experience working with parcel carriers within a consumer‑led supply chain.
• Data‑driven mindset and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
• Based within a commutable distance to Corby, Northampton or Sheffield.
