Senior Manager, Global Corporate and UK Media Relations

About the role

RWE is seeking a Senior Manager to lead global corporate and UK media relations. Working closely with the Corporate Head of International and Finance Media Relations, you will advise Executive Board members on media strategy, timing and positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage RWE’s proactive and reactive media presence in international finance and UK national media.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with journalists covering global corporate and UK business issues.
• Develop and implement communication concepts that deliver consistent, target‑oriented messaging to all stakeholders.
• Position RWE’s leaders in media through thought‑leadership pieces, interviews and strategic engagements.
• Draft and edit press releases, statements, speeches, thought‑leadership articles and expert commentary.
• Plan, organise and support press conferences, events and executive interviews.
• Respond to media enquiries, monitor coverage, issue alerts and prepare reactive statements on short notice.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, journalism, media, communication, business administration, political science, law or a related field.
• Approximately ten years of experience in media relations and as a press spokesperson, with a strong network across international, London‑based and UK media.
• Broad understanding of social, economic and political developments relevant to RWE’s global and UK business.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
