Senior National Account Manager – Top 4 Grocery (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a leading consumer goods business in the UK, is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to own and grow relationships with the Top 4 grocery retailers. The role is hybrid, based in the South West headquarters, and offers full P&L responsibility for a strategic portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with the Top 4 grocery accounts, driving profitable growth for both branded and own‑label ranges.
• Take full P&L ownership for the assigned retail portfolio.
• Lead annual planning, joint business plans, promotional strategy and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Category, Marketing, NPD, Supply Chain and Finance teams.
• Present growth opportunities and strategic insights to senior retailer stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Top 4 grocery accounts within a large brand environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with full P&L ownership experience.
• Advanced analytical and numerical capability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Credibility and gravitas when engaging senior customer stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to make a measurable impact.
• Balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
