Senior Operational Resilience Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operational Resilience Specialist to join a leading global investment bank on a 6‑month contract with strong extension potential. Working in a hybrid model (2‑3 days onsite in Central London), you will drive the evolution of the bank’s Operational Resilience framework in line with FCA, PRA and EU DORA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Important Business Services (IBS/CIF) lifecycle activities.
• Conduct service mapping, dependency mapping and impact tolerance assessments.
• Deliver resilience scenario testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Drive remediation across Operational Resilience workstreams.
• Produce executive and Board‑level MI and governance reporting.
• Embed resilience frameworks, controls and standards across the business.
• Collaborate with technology, operations and third‑party stakeholders across EMEA.
• Support ongoing compliance with UK Operational Resilience regulations and EU DORA.

Required profile

• Significant Operational Resilience experience within investment banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of FCA/PRA Operational Resilience and EU DORA.
• Proven delivery of Operational Resilience programmes in a first‑line‑of‑defence environment.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving improvements in large, complex organisations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
