Senior Paraplanner – Financial Planning

About the role

Our client, a respected independent financial adviser firm, is seeking a senior paraplanner to support advisers with complex wealth planning cases. This role combines technical expertise with leadership of a small support team, ensuring high‑quality advice and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports and recommendation letters covering pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
• Conduct detailed technical research, analysis and due‑diligence on providers, platforms and products.
• Assist advisers on complex client cases and attend client meetings when required.
• Manage asset allocation, model portfolio recommendations and ensure FCA compliance across all files.
• Lead, mentor and support the paraplanning and administration team, maintaining accurate audit trails.
• Oversee workflow, meet deadlines and contribute to the improvement of internal systems and processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a paraplanner within a financial planning or IFA environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high compliance standards.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written communication for producing clear, compliant documentation.

• Salary £40,000 – £55,000 depending on experience.
