Senior Planner (Part‑Time, 2‑3 days/week) – London

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our Regional Building Team on a part‑time basis (2‑3 days per week) in London. The role involves leading the planning and delivery of construction projects from pre‑construction through to completion, working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, manage and review construction programmes from pre‑qualification and tender stages through to project delivery, ensuring alignment with methodology, logistics and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with bid, design, commercial and operational teams to support work‑winning activities, including tender strategy, technical submissions and client presentations.
- Monitor project progress, update programmes, identify risks and opportunities, and provide planning support throughout pre‑construction and construction phases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, promoting collaborative and innovative planning solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement, digital planning tools and best practice, contributing to planning standards and mentoring junior planners as required.
Required profile
- Extensive planning experience across pre‑construction and live construction projects within a main contractor or consultancy environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methodology, sequencing, logistics and NEC contract requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
- Proven stakeholder management and presentation abilities, confident engaging with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners.
- A relevant degree (preferred), appropriate safety training, a valid CSCS Card and a commitment to continuous professional development.
