Senior Pre-Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead the front‑end delivery of commercial fit‑out and Design & Build projects across the UK. Based in London, you will drive projects from concept through to handover, working closely with clients, designers and the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑construction activities on multiple commercial projects.
• Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates and tender submissions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys and risk assessments.
• Develop pre‑construction programmes and scopes of work.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Present costs and proposals confidently to clients.
• Ensure smooth handover from pre‑construction to operations.
• Mentor junior team members and champion continuous improvement.
• Drive value engineering while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal design, commercial and operational teams throughout the bidding process.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of experience in Pre‑Construction, Estimating or Construction Management.
• Strong Design & Build background in the commercial office fit‑out sector.
• Proven track record delivering projects valued at £5m+.
• Excellent estimating, commercial and programme planning abilities.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes, contracts and regulations.
• Full UK driving licence.
