Senior Process Engineer (Hybrid, UK)

About the role

Orano is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join its UK team on a hybrid basis, working from Warrington or Abingdon. You will provide specialist design services to internal and external customers, ensuring safety, cost, quality and schedule targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Produce design deliverables such as drawings, reports and calculations to agreed standards.
• Contribute to the economic design of systems and equipment for nuclear or highly regulated sites.
• Oversee and develop the skills of junior engineers and other team members.
• Provide technical advice and guidance within your discipline.
• Participate in the development and application of technical and managerial processes.
• Organise, supervise and monitor team activities to deliver successful outputs.
• Identify major technical uncertainties and refer them to senior authority.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process, Chemical or Design Engineer on a nuclear or other highly regulated site.
• Chartered membership of the IChemE or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience supporting the production and development of process discipline documents.
• Experience delivering projects for Sellafield, AWE or similar regulated environments.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo security vetting.
