Senior Project Manager – ASTI Energy Programme

About the role

Balfour Beatty is a delivery partner on the Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) programme, one of Scotland's most significant energy infrastructure initiatives. The company is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Buildings) to lead delivery across key ASTI hubs, including Peterhead (Netherton) and surrounding sites. This is a long‑term, multi‑year opportunity offering scale, complexity and clear career progression within a regulated energy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery for buildings and enabling works across the ASTI programme.
• Manage complex interfaces with civil, energy and supply‑chain partners.
• Own programme cost, quality, safety and risk at the project level.
• Direct multi‑disciplinary site and project teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships within a regulated energy context.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex construction projects.
• Comfort operating in multi‑project or programme environments.
• Demonstrated leadership, commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
• Background in buildings, infrastructure, energy or other regulated sectors.
