Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects for Southern Water across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. The role involves overseeing design‑build activities from concept through to handover, working closely with clients, stakeholders and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial conception through to successful handover, ensuring delivery excellence at every stage.
• Build and nurture collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage site teams while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
• Oversee commercial aspects, including P&L responsibility, accurate forecasting and margin enhancement.
• Coordinate resources, review project plans and monitor progress to ensure smooth delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or equivalent with experience in regulated utilities, infrastructure or the built environment sector.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a proven track record of exceeding client expectations.
• Excellent NEC3/NEC4 contractual and commercial awareness.
• Experience in subcontract administration and managing diverse teams.
• Full driving licence and thorough understanding of current health & safety legislation.
