Senior Quantity Surveyor – Energy Infrastructure Project

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Energy division of a leading international engineering contractor. You will play a pivotal role in delivering a flagship National Grid transmission project in Yorkshire, supporting the UK's transition to a cleaner energy future.
Key responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of a major EPC infrastructure project from delivery through to final account.
- Prepare and manage applications for payment, client valuations and cost reporting.
- Administer NEC contracts, including change control and compensation events.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, driving value engineering where appropriate.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance, ensuring accurate cost allocation and measurement.
- Manage subcontract procurement, administration and final accounts.
Required profile
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record in quantity surveying on large infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work closely with operational teams, clients and the wider commercial function.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
Required skills
