Senior Recruitment Consultant – Accountancy & Finance (Edinburgh)

About the role

Hays is seeking a sales‑driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Edinburgh office within the Accountancy & Finance team. You will work from an Edinburgh base with hybrid flexibility, helping clients across the region find highly skilled finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business relationships and nurture existing client networks through calls, visits, and events.
• Source, interview, evaluate and place qualified candidates to meet client requirements.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, building trust‑based relationships.
• Oversee the full offer process from start to finish.
• Collaborate with team members, sharing market knowledge, leads and resources.
• Consistently achieve agreed targets and contribute to overall team performance.
• Identify market trends and create solutions that align with clients' strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant or higher, with a strong track record in business development.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Highly driven, ambitious and resilient in a fast‑paced recruitment environment.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
• Adaptable and agile, constantly seeking new market opportunities.
