Senior Sales Consultant – Education & Public Sector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to lead consultative sales initiatives for education and public sector clients. You will manage the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry and site surveys through to solution presentation, order acquisition, and project hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site customer surveys to capture project requirements.
• Deliver solution‑focused sales presentations and consultations.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using a CRM system and proactive follow‑up.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with schools, academies, local authorities and other public organisations.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure smooth delivery and handover.
• Provide customer training where required and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in consultative or solution‑based sales, preferably with a design element.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage a sales pipeline and CRM system.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Target‑driven mindset and solid commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
• Experience in education, public sector or specification‑led environments is advantageous but not essential.

• £55,000 basic salary plus £7,000 OTE and uncapped new‑business commission.
