Senior Site Engineer (Geologist)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer (Geologist) to join a leading ground investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Glasgow. You will lead small to medium geotechnical ground investigation projects, ensuring technical, commercial and HSEQ compliance while performing field testing and surveying.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage teams on geotechnical ground investigation sites.
• Ensure compliance with technical, commercial and HSEQ standards.
• Log rock and soil samples from boreholes and trial pits.
• Carry out field testing and surveying activities.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Travel to multiple sites as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years of experience in ground investigations and in‑situ testing.
• Hands‑on contractor background, including rig work and site management.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
