Senior Social Worker – Case Management Team

About the role

Our client, Shropshire Council, is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join its Case Management Team. The role involves managing a caseload of families under Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO) and court work, delivering high‑quality support and safeguarding vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of families under CIN, CP, PLO and court proceedings.
• Conduct home visits to assess and support families.
• Attend core group meetings and multidisciplinary team sessions.
• Prepare detailed reports for court hearings.

Required profile

• Relevant social work qualifications and registration.
• Experience handling CIN, CP, PLO and court‑related cases.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
