Senior Systems Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Developer to join a growing financial services organisation in Glasgow. The role is hybrid and offers the chance to work on critical Oracle and SQL Server systems, contribute to a new data warehouse and drive automation across the technology estate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support Oracle and SQL Server databases and related applications.
• Provide Oracle DBA support, including performance tuning and optimisation.
• Design and deliver database solutions using PL/SQL and SQL.
• Assist in the development of an enterprise data warehouse.
• Improve and automate existing business processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, IT and other business stakeholders.
• Support ongoing improvement and development of internal systems.
• Share technical knowledge and guidance within the development team.

Required profile

• Strong Oracle DBA experience.
• Proven Oracle PL/SQL development skills.
• Experience with complex, business‑critical databases.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
