Senior Warehouse Colleague – Night Shift

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Colleague to join the night‑shift team at the IKEA site in Dartford. This permanent, full‑time position works a 4‑on/4‑off pattern from 18:00 to 06:00, offering a stable career in a fast‑moving logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Train new employees and oversee daily operational tasks.
• Manage van‑area procedures, ensuring timely completion of loading and unloading.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of warehouse operatives.
• Cover supervisor duties during absences.
• Adhere to all GXO health and safety policies.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and shifting furniture.

Required profile

• Essential experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Minimum PPT or LLOP certification.
• Driving licence desirable but not essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Expertise in planning 12‑ton and 3.5‑ton vehicle processes.
• Extensive warehouse experience and ability to work under pressure.
