Senior/Principal Associate – Commercial Education Solicitor

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate to join its national education practice. The role focuses on high‑profile commercial work for universities and education‑focused corporates, helping them expand and operate globally.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial agreements for overseas university branch campuses in India, China and Southeast Asia.
• Advise on collaborations, partnerships and joint ventures within the education sector.
• Draft nomination, validation and franchise agreements.
• Handle a wide range of commercial contracts, including outsourcing arrangements.
• Collaborate with the national education team and other commercial and corporate colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience advising education‑sector clients is preferred, though strong interest in the sector is acceptable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative national team.
• Proactive, client‑focused mindset with a willingness to support business development.

Required skills

• Strong commercial law knowledge and technical competence.
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence in delivering practical, commercially‑focused advice.
