SEO Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to join our growing SEO team at a leading digital marketing agency in Bristol. This hands‑on role sits between the Head of SEO and the delivery team, focusing on technical SEO execution and ensuring high‑quality results for a portfolio of client accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO audits, prioritize fixes and own on‑site optimisation including crawl management, site architecture, structured data and Core Web Vitals.
• Develop keyword strategies, content optimisation plans and internal linking improvements.
• Collaborate with in‑house developers to brief, scope and QA technical changes.
• Monitor organic performance and deliver commercially focused insights to internal stakeholders.
• Oversee day‑to‑day workload of SEO Executives and the Delivery Coordinator, providing mentorship and feedback.
• Coordinate with Client Services for campaign updates and join client calls when technical expertise is required.
• Support the Head of SEO with performance input for quarterly business reviews and strategic planning.

Required profile

• 3+ years of SEO experience, preferably agency‑side.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge, including crawl management, structured data and Core Web Vitals.
• Confidence using Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and SEMrush or Ahrefs.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
• Clear communicator who can translate complex SEO concepts into actionable recommendations.
• Experience producing performance reports with commercial insight.
• Familiarity with HTML or CSS is a plus; mentoring junior team members is a bonus.
