Sessional Elite Sport Lecturer

About the role

Loughborough College’s Elite Sport department is seeking a Sessional Elite Sport Lecturer to teach and support learners progressing through sport talent pathways. The role involves developing curriculum, delivering inspiring face‑to‑face and online sessions, and monitoring learner progress to achieve target grades.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver teaching, learning and assessment strategies for elite sport programmes.
• Provide both in‑person and virtual instruction across Loughborough College and off‑site locations.
• Track and evaluate learner progress, ensuring achievement of target grades.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to enhance programme delivery.
• Maintain accurate planning, administration and reporting in line with deadlines.

Required profile

• Relevant degree and teaching qualification.
• Extensive teaching and vocational experience in further education.
• Experience working in elite sport or high‑performance environments.
• Full, valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to off‑site sites.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and planning skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies, including online delivery.
